Some pieces you forget you're wearing - and then your hands remind you they feel different. I made this ring for those whose finger joints have been quietly keeping track of every year of work - the flowers are hand-detailed one petal at a time, the beaded border traced dot by dot along both edges, the whole surface worked slowly until the copper holds every mark of the making.

People have worn copper against their skin for thousands of years, and those who return to me wearing this ring always say the same thing: their fingers stopped reminding them quite so often.

This is one of the last rings I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the hand that needs it most.

HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S REAL COPPER? + −

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewellery sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

  1. Grab any fridge magnet
  2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
  3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
  4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing

Every piece I make is 99.9% pure copper — never plated, never alloyed with cheap metals. Run the test on yours the day it arrives. If it ever fails, I'll refund you immediately.

Every piece I've made starts with the same intention: to be worn by someone whose body needs it.

Copper has been pressed against human skin for thousands of years — by Egyptian queens, by Roman soldiers, by every generation of women who came before us. Worn quietly, daily, against the skin. I've spent 40 years making these pieces by hand in Sedona, and I've watched people come back year after year.

What started as a craft became something I can only describe as a calling. But now, my granddaughters are growing up without me there — and for the first time in 40 years, something matters more than the work.

Every piece in this collection was made by my hands, one at a time. There are only so many I can make — and once they're gone, I won't be making more.
