There are pieces you create for strength and pieces you create for softness. This one is for softness. Four bands coiled into a single wrap, two small hearts sitting at each end of the open gap - one above, one below. It's the kind of ring that conveys meaning without needing to say anything.

I form each band separately, then coil them together by hand using round-nose pliers, working slowly so the spiral sits evenly all the way around. The hearts are shaped last, pressed and smoothed until they hold. It's delicate work. I enjoy delicate work.

Copper has been exchanged between people who care for each other for a very long time. Worn close, worn daily, given quietly. That tradition doesn't need explaining - it simply continues.

HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S REAL COPPER? + −

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewellery sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

  1. Grab any fridge magnet
  2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
  3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
  4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing

Every piece I make is 99.9% pure copper — never plated, never alloyed with cheap metals. Run the test on yours the day it arrives. If it ever fails, I'll refund you immediately.

Every piece I've made starts with the same intention: to be worn by someone whose body needs it.

Copper has been pressed against human skin for thousands of years — by Egyptian queens, by Roman soldiers, by every generation of women who came before us. Worn quietly, daily, against the skin. I've spent 40 years making these pieces by hand in Sedona, and I've watched people come back year after year.

What started as a craft became something I can only describe as a calling. But now, my granddaughters are growing up without me there — and for the first time in 40 years, something matters more than the work.

Every piece in this collection was made by my hands, one at a time. There are only so many I can make — and once they're gone, I won't be making more.
