The Crag is a Ovia Copper Jewellery bracelet for men who work. Wide articulated links, deep ridge texture across every panel, and a weight on the wrist that signifies something. Not decorative. Not delicate. Built the way Vera designs everything to be worn every day and look better for it.

The dark oxidised finish deepens over time. The crosshatch pattern catches light in the same way that a rock face captures the morning sun. The fold-over clasp holds firm.

HOW DO I KNOW IF IT'S REAL COPPER? + −

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewellery sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

  1. Grab any fridge magnet
  2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
  3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
  4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing

Every piece I've made starts with the same intention: to be worn by someone whose body needs it.

Copper has been pressed against human skin for thousands of years — by Egyptian queens, by Roman soldiers, by every generation of women who came before us. Worn quietly, daily, against the skin. I've spent 40 years making these pieces by hand in Sedona, and I've watched people come back year after year.

What started as a craft became something I can only describe as a calling. But now, my granddaughters are growing up without me there — and for the first time in 40 years, something matters more than the work.

Every piece in this collection was made by my hands, one at a time. There are only so many I can make — and once they're gone, I won't be making more.
